If you haven’t been directly effected, it’s likely you know someone who has.

Small business owners everywhere have been scrambling to understand all the recent changes to Visa/Mastercard, Google as well as the new FTC regulations.

If you sell anything online, you need to be aware of these changes so that you not only comply, but so that you also excel in the new environment.

The good news is, on March 12th, 13th and 14th, all of these questions will be answered in great detail.

By the end of the 3 days you’ll know exactly what you can and can’t do – along with a gameplan of what you should do next.

…PLUS…

You’ll learn all kinds of other powerful strategies like:

- How to dominate your “local search”

- Why your “marketing sequence” is likely killing your conversions – and an easy method for quickly fixing it

- How to REALLY leverage social media tools like Twitter, Facebook and Google Buzz

- THE most effective (and highest converting) salesletter you should use

- Why Microsoft Bing is quickly becoming the “go-to” place for pay per click marketing and how you can easily stay ahead of your competition

- and much more!

Where is this being shared?

New Media Web Strategies, Part One

Business BrandingAs of Monday, May 12th, I’ll officially embark on developing web strategies for a corporate website to include social media networking and marketing. This “new marketing” treats everything from customer service to the actual product/service as a complete strategy to grow the brand and sales.

When bringing promises into the social media world, care must be taken to ensure that the company actually lives up to them, or the strategy will utterly fail. Word-of-mouth is the viral effect of new marketing. However, if the “word” is bad, that could even be more viral than if it was good.

My goal in this new marketing is to reach the right target market for the company. You’ve heard that a million times, however with so much emphasis on building more and more traffic to your site, that goal seems to have lost its lure for many. Reaching millions of uninterested people is a worthless effort, and wasteful spending. Targeting the thousands that are interested is the leverage you want.

Build your brand, build targeted traffic, build your sales with social media marketing.

Branding is more than a logo or design. It’s also your customers’ experience with your products, services, and support staff. This is crucial to your sales process. It’s far less expensive to attract repeat sales than to bring in first time buyers. Be sure your customers are satisfied. They will buy from you again and tell others as well.

Think that you can’t beat the branding of a competitor? Think again. New media marketing gives you the chance. Did you know that America’s most popular soft drink is “other”?

Website Content and Functionality

Website content and funtionality desired by US users

eMarketer is one of the newsletter subscriptions that I highly recommend. Read two headlines each weekday, if something interests you, click to read more. Some days I don’t click through at all, but often I do. When I do, I usually find something very compelling and useful, such as the graphs here show.

Each graph also has an article, and yes, it leads to an offer for a white paper or the like, but the article can really start your mind focusing on particular areas that you need to think about to increase success in your Internet marketing strategies.

The graph on the left shows what users of websites really want with regards to your content and functionality. You can see how interactive and social capabilities play a significant role in their wishes.

This is just another subtle hint as to why you need to get involved in social media!
